Waltham – Mr. Alfred J. Texeira, Jr. of Waltham died Wednesday, January 18, 2012. He was 53.
Al was born in Waltham on February 1, 1958, a son of Mary E. (Moynihan) Texeira of Waltham and the late Alfred J. Texeira. He was a 1976 graduate of Waltham High School and earned a degree in recording arts from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. An accomplished photographer and film maker, his 1993 film, 'La Luz' was awarded first prize in the Central Florida Film Festival. Most recently he had been working at the Mansion House in Vineyard Haven.
In addition to his mother, Al leaves his sister, Patricia A. McLean of Falmouth and several nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
He was also the brother of the late Janice E. Loporto.
Funeral services for Al will be private.
